Biography
Bridget Convey has thirty years of experience in UK financial services, working across banking, asset management and insurance in finance, operations, front office, compliance and risk. Her career includes senior, executive committee and boardroom roles.
She began in the markets, passing the SEC Series 7 examination in 1996 and the SFA Registered Representative examination in 1997. She then built a business from a greenfield start, running every function herself before a board was appointed. She went on to lead change, digital transformation and regulatory programmes for banks, insurers and asset managers.
Since 2023 her work has focused on the safe and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence. She is ISO/IEC 42001 certified and a graduate of the Oxford Saïd AI Strategy and Leadership Programme. She has led AI governance programmes at board and executive committee level, and has seen first hand the cost to customers, regulators and reputations when boards make poor decisions.
Today she is AI Director at Charterhouse Consultants, where she advises clients on AI strategy, governance and operating models. She is also the founder of Aztec AI Group, whose practical online tools and training help organisations turn AI risk into business confidence.
She is the author of two books, 30 white papers and a video series on AI governance.
